ODL Service Closures
Oxford Diagnostic Laboratories will accept blood samples seven days a week, public holidays and the Christmas – New Year period excepted (please see table below for details of planned closures throughout the year).
Blood samples must arrive at ODL no later than 2.00pm the day after venepuncture.

Easter Weekend 2024 |
ODL will be open for processing over the Easter weekend. However please note that there will be no DX, DHL, CitySprint or TNT collections on Friday 29th March or Monday 1st April.
If you use Royal Mail, please avoid sending over the Easter Weekend and ensure samples are sent to arrive at the lab no later than 2pm on Thursday 28th March |
Results for samples sent over the Easter weekend will be released on Tuesday 2nd April. |
| May Day Bank Holiday Monday 6th May |
2pm on Saturday 4th May | Results from samples received on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th May will be released on Tuesday 7th May when normal service resumes. |
| Spring Bank Holiday Monday 27th May

2pm on Saturday 25th May | Results from samples received on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th May will be released on Tuesday 28th May when normal service resumes. |
| Christmas 2024 Tuesday 24th December 2024 – Wednesday 1st January 2025 (inclusive) |
